Kia Design Center America Wins 'Good Design is Good Business Award'

Kia has been winning many awards for its recent designs, but do you ever wonder where those designs originate from? Well, it all begins in Irvine, California at the Kia Design Center America. The chief designer there it Peter Schreyer and he and his team are tasked with building the amazing Kia cars you see today and, more importantly, the Kia cars you'll see tomorrow.

While here at Kiefer Kia, we think they've been doing a great job, our customers agree as well since Kia cars are flying off our lot. We're not the only ones, though, that believe Kia is doing a great job. The Architectural Record had awarded the Kia Design Center America it's "Good Design is Good Business Award."

The award is meant to recognize the hard work that goes into creating a positive work environment through architecture and design.

"Kia Motors' U.S. corporate campus proves that thoughtful, rational design can be a powerful engine for business growth and talent retention," says Brian Lee of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, who helped design the campus. "The project exemplifies SOM's commitment to provide our clients with high-performance design that adds value to their brand and expresses their corporate identity."1

Just some of the ways Kia tries to inspire their employees include a state-of-the-art workout facility and an on-site cafeteria. These amenities were designed to keep people comfortable and happy at work. Whatever else Kia is doing, it's working because the Kia cars on our lot are as popular as ever. Come down to Kiefer Kia on 1810 W. 7th Street in Eugene, OR97402 to see our selection of new and used Kia cars today.
