Kia Sedans: Efficient and Built for Daily Life

The 2026 Kia sedan lineup gives drivers who prefer a car over an SUV two distinct options, each aimed at a different kind of daily driver.

Kia K4 — Compact Sedan and All-New Hatchback

The K4 comes as both a traditional sedan and an all-new hatchback. The standard 2.0L engine puts out 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque paired with an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), returning an EPA-estimated 29/39/33 mpg in sedan form. Step up to the GT-Line Turbo and you get a 1.6L turbocharged engine with 190 hp and 195 lb-ft on an 8-speed automatic. Cargo space tells part of the story too: the hatchback offers 22.2 cubic feet versus the sedan’s 14.6, which is a real difference if you regularly haul gear. Both body styles include a 12.3-inch digital cluster.

Kia K5 — Midsize Performance for the Daily Driver

The K5’s base powertrain is a 2.5L naturally aspirated engine with 191 hp and an 8-speed automatic. GT trim adds a 2.5L turbo rated at 290 hp and 311 lb-ft, putting 0-60 mph at around 5.4 seconds. Dual 12.3-inch displays and Highway Driving Assist give it a more premium feel than you’d typically expect at this price point.

If you want your commute to actually feel engaging, the K5 is worth a serious look.

Kia SUVs: The Heart of the 2026 Kia Lineup

Kia’s SUV models stretch from a subcompact urban option to a full-size three-row EV. The range is broader and more electrified than it’s ever been, and it sits at the center of everything we sell at Kiefer Kia. Browse our new vehicle inventory to check real-time availability on any of the models below.

Kia Seltos — Subcompact SUV for Urban and Weekend Use

The Seltos offers a 2.0L engine (147 hp) or an available 1.6L turbo (175 hp) with an 8-speed automatic and available AWD. Cargo space reaches 26.6 cubic feet behind the rear seat and expands to 62.8 with it folded. Its compact footprint makes it easy to park around Eugene, while available AWD handles weekend drives on wet Oregon roads without any fuss. Standard driver assistance features round things out without requiring you to step up to a larger vehicle.

Kia Sportage — Gas, Hybrid, or Plug-In Hybrid

The Sportage is one of the most flexible entries in the lineup. The standard gas engine produces 187 hp from a 2.5L; the hybrid system combines for 232 hp; and the PHEV delivers 268 hp with an EPA-estimated 34 miles of electric range before transitioning to hybrid mode. Dual 12.3-inch displays come standard across trims, and cargo capacity is 39.5 cubic feet behind the rear seat and 74.1 with it folded.

If you want AWD capability with electrified efficiency, the Sportage Hybrid or PHEV is hard to beat in this class.

Kia Sorento — Three-Row Family SUV with Hybrid and PHEV Options

The Sorento seats up to seven and offers a hybrid system producing 227 hp combined from a 1.6L turbo and electric motor, or a PHEV with 261 hp and an EPA-estimated 31 miles of electric range. Cargo stands at 12.6 cubic feet with all three rows up, 45.0 behind the second row, and 75.5 with both rear rows folded.

For families in Lane County who want three-row practicality with real fuel savings, the Sorento Hybrid or PHEV hits that balance directly.

Kia Niro — Hybrid and Full EV

The 2026 Niro comes in two configurations: a hybrid and a full EV (the PHEV was discontinued after 2025). The hybrid produces 139 hp combined with an EPA estimate of around 53 mpg combined. The Niro EV delivers 201 hp and an EPA-estimated 253 miles of range. Cargo space is 22.8 cubic feet behind the rear seat and 63.7 folded.

For buyers who want to cut fuel costs without committing to a full EV, the Niro Hybrid is a straightforward choice. For those ready to go fully electric in a smaller package, the Niro EV gets the job done efficiently.

Kia Telluride — All-New Three-Row Flagship (2027)

The Telluride sat out the 2026 model year, but the fully redesigned 2027 model is here and worth the wait. It seats up to eight and now offers a choice of powertrains for the first time. The standard 2.5L turbocharged gas engine produces 274 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque with up to 5,000 pounds of towing.

The first-ever Telluride Turbo-Hybrid combines for 329 hp and an EPA-estimated 35 mpg combined on the EX FWD trim, a major efficiency gain for a vehicle this size. Gas trims run from LX up to X-Pro SX-Prestige, and the hybrid is offered in EX, SX, SX-Prestige, and X-Line trims.

For Lane County families who want maximum space without stepping up to an EV, the Telluride is Kia’s flagship for a reason.

Kia Electric Vehicles: Purpose-Built EVs for the Modern Driver

Kia’s EVs were engineered from the ground up on dedicated platforms, not converted from existing gas models. That means real-world range, fast charging, and genuinely strong performance.

Kia EV6 — Performance-Focused All-Electric Crossover

The EV6 offers up to 319 miles of EPA-estimated range in rear-wheel-drive single-motor form (225 hp). The dual-motor AWD version produces 320 hp with a 0-60 time of around 5 seconds. GT trim pushes that to 641 hp with a 0-60 of 3.5 seconds. All EV6 models use an 800V architecture that supports 10-80% charging in approximately 18 minutes on a compatible DC fast charger.

For drivers who want an EV that’s genuinely fun to drive, the EV6 is the easy recommendation.

Kia EV9 — Full-Size Three-Row Electric SUV

The EV9 is Kia’s largest electric vehicle and the most capable family EV in the lineup. It seats up to seven and offers up to 305 miles of EPA-estimated range. The standard rear-wheel-drive version produces 295 hp; Wind and Land AWD trims produce 379 hp; and GT trim delivers up to 516 lb-ft of torque with Boost mode activated, hitting 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds. The 800V system charges from 10-80% in approximately 24 minutes. Cargo stands at 17.5 cubic feet behind the third row, 54.0 behind the second row, and 81.0 with both rear rows folded.

For families ready to go fully electric without giving up space, the EV9 makes a strong case.

Kia Carnival: The Premium Minivan Built for Real Family Life

The Carnival seats up to eight and makes no attempt to hide what it is. Kia designed it to be the best version of a family hauler, full stop. For 2026, you can choose the standard 3.5L V6 or a 1.6L turbo-hybrid powertrain that brings meaningfully better fuel economy without giving up space or comfort. Available features include power sliding doors, heated and ventilated front seats, and dual 12.3-inch displays across trims. Cargo expands from 14.5 cubic feet behind the third row to 45.0 behind the second row and 86.9 with both rear rows folded.

If you’ve been avoiding a minivan because they felt like a compromise, the Carnival is worth another look.

Which 2026 Kia Model Fits Your Lifestyle?

A few recommendations based on what buyers typically tell us they need.

Commuters and Efficiency-Focused Drivers

If you’re a daily commuter focused on efficiency, the K4 sedan or hatchback covers the basics well. Want to push closer to 53 mpg combined? The Niro Hybrid is the better fit. And if you’re EV-curious but not quite ready to commit, the Niro EV is a reasonable starting point.

Performance and EV Drivers

Performance-oriented drivers should look at the K5 GT for a turbocharged sedan feel, or the EV6 if zero-emission driving with serious power sounds appealing, since the GT trim goes up to 641 hp. Already comfortable with the idea of charging at home and on the road? Go straight to the EV6 or EV9.

Families and Adventure Seekers

Smaller households or weekend-adventure types will find the Seltos or Sportage suit most situations. If you have home charging set up, the Sportage PHEV becomes the smarter pick. Larger families have a few clear paths: the Sorento for three rows with hybrid efficiency, the all-new 2027 Telluride if you want maximum space with a choice of gas or hybrid power, the EV9 for full electrification with seven seats, or the Carnival if you need eight seats and maximum cargo room.
